Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.
Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.
Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice.
And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
They somehow already know what you truly want to become…
Dear friends, this are one of the most powerful words I’ve ever heard. This is, of course, quote from famous Steve Jobs’ “Stay hungry, stay foolish” speech at Stanford university. I’ve heard it first time couple years ago. It was inspiring, but I’m not sure if I have fully understood it back then. But now I know a little bit more.
We live with a connection to others. People are connected with many networks and layers. Just like you and me, everyone has their own agenda. And we transform and influence people around, to make them fit. That’s why the suggestions of others are not always best for you – they are often said for their own interest.
So, what should I do?
Have the courage to follow your heart. Always ask yourself – where am I? Am I moving? Improving? Are you listening to yourself, or living under a judgment of other people, doing what’s best for them, not for you.
Run, build, travel, read, hack, cook, create, sing, code, hike, fly… Everything else is secondary.
